Fascinating piece of amber. This is a nice sphere about .6 inches in diameter. There is part of a feather. It does appear that this is the base of the feather where it attaches to the bird. In fact when you look at the piece, it appears that there is a good sized portion of the skin along with the beginnings of the feather root. It does not have the feathery portion, but does show quills at the base with the feather branches.
This is quite the opportunity to get part of a feather at a price that is affordable. We pass along to you this great specimen at a price that is hard to look away from.
Feathers are such a rare occurrence in amber that you just do not see them.
